Mel has been making arrows since the early 60's. He has used his own arrows since that time in all his hunting. To his credit he has taken moose, elk, deer, caribou, antelope, black bear, grizzly bear, Dahl sheep, and javalina. Now some would believe that getting wood shafts to fly straight is a great mystery-but with good shaft materials and the right spine for the bow, behold, just like those of our ancestors, your arrows will fly straight and true. There is nothing finer than a matched spined wooden shaft to achieve what is called the "archer's paradox." The arrow shaft bends naturally around your bow and then the spine weight straightens the arrow. It flies straight to the mark. At Bearpaw Arrows, each dozen arrows are Matched-spined. This means that all of your custom arrow shafts are the same spine weight. Hence all the arrows will fly the same.
